Chocolate-covered matzo has been around for quite some time: Covering your matzo in chocolate is no new fad.
But when you start adding a layer of caramel, Nutella, and toasted nuts, you get a more special Passover treat.
This confection is really a cross between chocolate bark and toffee, a nice alternative to the staple flourless chocolate cake that usually makes an appearance for this holiday.
The best part about this low-fuss dessert is that it’s completely customizable. In order to make it parve and kosher for Passover, you can use a dairy-free butter substitute and nix the Nutella. Try experimenting with white chocolate, your favorite nuts, sprinkles, or even some Maldon salt would be really nice.
