Fred and Judi Danforth opened Danforth Pewter in Vermont in 1975, to revive a family tradition -- their ancestor Thomas Danforth II had a pewter workshop in colonial Connecticut in 1755. Every piece is crafted by hand in their Middlebury shop, keeping the artisan craft alive.
