East Hampton Gourmet Foods
East Hampton, NY
Kate Pratt and Michel Mazuret created East Hampton Gourmet Foods in 1996 as an artisanal bakery which supplied baked goods to the east end of Long Island, New York. Shortly thereafter, they boldly ventured into Connecticut and Manhattan plying theirwares to the likes of Hayday Markets, Dean and Deluca and Balduccis. The line was well received and a few months later they were filling orders for several large chains of gourmet stores, catalogs and websites, making the cover of Dean and Deluca again & again. In 2006 they seized a great opportunity to expand their culinary offerings and opened their doors to the public at 66 Newtown Lane, East Hampton, N. Y. Alongside the wholesale operation, the shop offers gourmet prepared salads, soups, sandwiches, entrees, hors d'oeuvres, an entertaining menu and a gourmet market.
