We’ve always found beauty in the raw ingredients we use to cook, so it’s no surprise to us that jewelry maker Hannah Guerin also looks to natural, raw materials for inspiration in her designs. The charm for this pendant necklace is cast from a mussel shell found off the shore of Katama Bay in Edgartown, MA, preserved in its imperfect, rippled glory in solid brass. Press the shell to your ear and you might just hear the sea… or if you’re like us, the bubbling of a pot of mussels on the stove.
