The stuff of fairy tales.
If this harvest-ready cast iron pumpkin reminds you of Cinderella's carriage, it's no mistake. Francis Staub himself imagined the pot into existence, inspired by a variety of pumpkin known as Rouge Vif d’Etampes—the very same heirloom variety on which Charles Perrault based the magical carriage in his classic French fairy tale. Bring the fairy tale to your table with a pot of pumpkin & goat cheese soup (pictured here!), squash curry, or a warming-from-the-inside-out short rib and pumpkin chili.
Each enameled cast iron pot (finished off with a jaunty brass stem) is unique, and the rough texture of the interior results in exceptional browning. Like all of our Staub products, the pot is suitable for all cooktops (including induction) and is oven safe up to 500°F.
