Meet the Maker
Clam Lab
Brooklyn, NY
Everybody has a thing. For Clair Catillaz, it was an obsession with 20th century dishware. Combined with 10 years of study in studio ceramics, it was only natural that she launched Clam Lab, a line of elegant, form-focused ceramics. Every piece is made on either a human-powered kick wheel or cast from a handmade mold, and all glazes are formulated and mixed in small runs. Looks like small batch isn't just for our favorite foods anymore.
