Food52 x Mepal Melamine Nested Storage Bowls

I've had these for a bit and since you can't use them in the freezer, and more importantly, the microwave, it really limits their use. Also, say you have soup in one and you put the lid on. The liquid squishes up in the lid and really makes a mess. The seal just isn't very tight. I have them now so I'll use them but like many things from this website, I'd return if I could.

I agree with the other comment. I was shocked at how small these bowls are for the price. The pictures make them appear larger. I am not quite sure what the person in the pictures could be mixing up because even the largest bowl could not be considered a mixing bowl. I like the material and color (black) but will use for food storage which is okay as I am trying to get away from as much plastic as possible.

It's my own fault....I thought these bowls would be the size of mixing bowls, especially based on the price. I wanted to replace my nesting melamine mixing bowls I bought from Williams-Sonoma several years ago. Unfortunately, these bowls are so small they are better suited for food storage in the fridge or hauling your lunch to work. With Food52's "No Return" policy, just make sure before you order.
