A crowning achievement.
We sent a team to France to see first-hand how 6th-generation, family-owned French bakeware company works their magic—and can we just say, we are swooning (take a look for yourself). The crown baker is a brilliant ceramic piece with 8 wells for your sweet and savory breads (try out this sweet dough recipe for starters). The bread rises and bakes to form a crown that easily tears apart and has a tender, soft interior with a gently crisp crust. That’s thanks to the heavy ceramic lid, which keeps in just the right amount of moisture. Now that’s a crowning achievement.
