Stain-be-gone.
Kimchi on your button-up, coffee on your trousers, or bolognese on the napkins? We’ve been there. Reach for this all-natural olive oil stain remover soap, lightly dampen the stick and scrub out the stain before hand washing or throwing your fabrics in the washing machine (our co-founder Amanda Hesser loves the stuff). This hardy little stain remover is not only good for stains, it’s also a talking point. Behold, a fact: The name “Marseille Soap” is a protected designation—to qualify for this highly-coveted label, your soap has to be made in Provence with natural oils and just a handful of other ingredients: seawater, ash and lye. At Fer à Cheval, it’s a labor-intensive process that takes 10 days and starts with boiling the ingredients in ancient cauldrons overseen by a soap master and team of artisans. The result is long-lasting, certified organic, and hypoallergenic—great for sensitive skin. Plus, as it contains absolutely no preservatives, dyes, additives, fragrance or animal fat, you can rest assured that what you’re scrubbing in won’t be harmful to the fabric or to your skin.
