For your viewing pleasure: The base and lid are mouth blown (see those unique ripples across the top?) and require only a smidge of water, your favorite butter, and of course, a tall stack of warm toast to slather it on.

Ready to get the butter-keeping going? We've got a few tips for ya.
- Start by adding a bit of water to the bottom of the keeper—the water should touch the top of your butter when you put the lid on.
- Add enough room-temperature butter to the top so that it is full, but not overflowing (about 3/4 to 1 stick of butter should do).
- Don't forget to change the water in your keeper every 2 to 3 days. That way, your golden goodness can stay fresh-as-can-be at room temp for about a week.
Oh, and pro tip: If your butter begins to soften too much, don’t fret! Just pop it in the fridge until it’s that just-right texture.

Declining quality

I was given this as a gift last Christmas and unfortunately it cracked due to a plate falling on it. Totally my fault so not mad about that. I love the clear holder and the larger capacity compared to others so I immediately purchased another. The product I received is lighter and noticeably thinner glass, about half the thickness of my original. Feels cheaper and very fragile to the point where I feel like it will crack at any point. Pretty disappointed in the obvious decline in quality.

We don't eat butter fast enough!

I love it, but the butter keeps molding before we finish it! And when it gets warm in the kitchen (small NY kitchen), the butter falls into the water anyway. Sadness.

Exactly what I wanted

I'm glad I wasn't deterred by the few negative reviews. It clearly states the dimensions on the product page so rating it poorly due to its size seems nonsensical. The butter dish holds two sticks of butter perfectly and is easy to use. It fits nicely in my hand and I like the aesthetic.
