Steel & Wood Wall-Mounted Shelf

This is a nice looking shelf, but as another reviewer mentioned, it’s very odd that the hardware did not include wall anchors. Also, the placement of the screws is at such an angle that make a power tool difficult. It seems that the designer did not approach this with much pragmatic sense. I ordered all my Xmas gifts from Food52 this year and this is the only item that is disappointing.

Wider than I anticipated (but I could have read the dimensions) and the metal was not as sturdy as I anticipated. One shelf arrived with a snapped metal mount but food52 quickly resolved the issue. Not the sturdiest shelf I own but gorgeous, sleek, and perfect for my space.

The shelf is nice looking, but the screws are tiny and the piece does not come with any wall anchors. This is insane. The shelf fell right out of the wall about 20 minutes after installation. I had to go out and buy some wall anchors and a new set of screws that were more heavy-duty than the ones this came with. The side of the wood also chipped when it fell off the wall. Really disappointed.
