Your turn.
The Japanese coffee experts at Hario designed this grinder much like a pepper mill to get the most flavor from your beans. Made from sturdy ceramic, it’s got a nonslip grip and easily refillable base. It’s also the perfect travel partner (who knew a coffee grinder could fit into a carry-on?) thanks to its compact size and removable handle.

Well made low-tech functionality
Both my husband and I love this thing! We replaced a decades old electric grinder with this and much prefer this manual device. The first thing I noticed was the lack of cheap plastic parts. Everything feels solid. Everything comes apart to clean. And it works great!
Not necessarily good for small hands
This grinder looks great and works just as well, but I will warn those of you with small hands, it is hard to grasp this while also grinding! The mid-section is pretty wide, and so my hand cant fit more than a little over halfway around it, making it harder to get a good grip on. I will also not that the silicon bottom is not attached to the glass, so it doesn't really do that much to help the grinder from sliding around. For one person making one or two cups worth of coffee, this is a good grinder, but any more than that and you are going to be struggling with it for a while (especially if you have small hands!) But honestly I do really like this product overall! Just want people to be able to make informed decisions.
