Let’s give them a hand.
Sometimes finding a pretty dish towel that actually does what its supposed to feels, dare we say, a little like being hung out to dry. Luckily, whether you’re wiping down dishes or want to keep a warm loaf of bread under wraps, these linen beauties will take care of business. They’re made in a family-owned mill in the North of France and come in a plain and striped option that’ll look stunning hanging out by the sink.

Meet the Maker
Thieffry
Roubaix, France
Our buyers chanced on Thieffry during a visit to France and learned it was one of only a few remaining linen producers in the country. Since 1837, the mill has been turning out heirloom-quality goods from flax that’s sourced from the Netherlands, Belgium, and local growers. Their textiles are sturdy, timeless, and get oh-so-soft with love and use.

Attractive, but stiff
I purchased these and the Five Two Essential Kitchen Towels. These have a great look, but I don’t care for the rather stiff feel. They’re a mid or heavy weight linen, and I haven’t managed to get them soft (I’ve had them since late July; it’s late November now). After using both several times, I’ve found that I far prefer the Five Two Essential Kitchen Towels. If I were to do it again, I would have purchased a couple sets of those instead of one each of these and those. I may turn these into gift bags...
