Meshed together.
Tea cupboard, prepare to meet your new BFFs: These hand-crafted brass strainers are designed by metal artisans (they take teatime seriously at Bellocq) so your Earl Grey has the perfect steeping environment. The smaller one is built to perch on the edge of your mug while the larger basket fits perfectly in a teapot. Now just imagine the sipping possibilities as you read in your favorite wing back chair, sit at your desk, or serve high tea to royalty—you never know.

Beautiful but could be better...
The smaller strainer is not deep enough for 1 TSP of tea leaves to be seeping into the water. I bent it and not that helped. The bigger strainer used for the teapot is also better in a mug. I enjoy both with an adjustment.
Beautiful and multi-purpose
Love the strainers. Very well made and elegant. The basket strainer I find is ideal for mugs, larger cups, and teapots because of it's depth. The smaller strainer is best suited for tea cups.
