Peugeot Coffee Grinder

I love this brand. Best pepper grinder I have ever used. Buuut... This is an incredibly difficult coffee grinder to use. Ridiculously so. The grind is great and makes scrumptious coffee.

There is no better mechanism in a manual grinder than what is manufactured by Peugeot. So grinding the beans is a quiet and consistent process and results in THE best brewed coffee. I have an antique Peugeot grinder that has been serving me faithfully over a decade. But because of my little, tiny gnome hands, I'm unable to stabilize this grinder by bracing it from above while I turn the handle like I can with the antique. I will continue to lock this grinder between my knees and use it though, because that's how good the inner grinding mechanism is. Will negotiate the challenge for epic coffee!

About one month in, this coffee grinder is holding up well (compared to a cheaply made manual coffee ginder from another producer that I bought previously). It feels sturdy, simple, and smartly designed. My only quip is that the base is made out of plastic, which detracts from the sense of a product that prioritizes quality over cheapness. Plastic takes away from the sense that this is an eco-friendly product built to last. Nevertheless, I'm pleased with it and use it every morning, leaving it out on the counter on display when I'm not using it.
