Beautiful kettle but flawed
The kettle is gorgeous and looks great on the stove. Nicely sized and handle stays cool. The whistle is a lovely change from the usual loud whining noise made by other kettles. However, the whistle gets stuck in the spout and causes the water to dribble out quite slowly, and then sometimes spontaneously opens and releases a gush of hot water. The mechanism can be loosened with a sharp whack but that shouldn’t be necessary in a well designed product. Have been unable to get a resolution from the company, even though they must be aware of the problem — it Is mentioned in several reviews on other sites from which the kettle can be ordered (see Amazon). Regret I didn’t see those reviews beforehand. Frustrated and disappointed because it is otherwise a really nice object and I would like to keep using it.
Beautiful but....
We like the style, the whistle, the color, but the kettle seems a bit flimsy. The handle is already loose after only a few uses. We don't see this kettle lasting more than a year with the typical everyday use. Disappointing. We would return if possible ... not sure what the warranty states as we did not receive one. We only received the use instructions...
