We’d introduce you to these French tables and chairs, but chances are you’ve already met. They’ve appeared in parks, restaurants, and other public spaces the world over—Times Square, the sidewalks of Paris, and Milan’s Indro Montanelli park, to name a few. That oh-so-foldable bistro-style design was patented near the end of the 19th century (think: when the Eiffel Tower was built). Then, Fermob came and perfected it with galvanized steel and a lacquered finish that’ll shine bright even after years of love and UV exposure. Oh, and speaking of shining bright...have you seen all the colors these pieces come in?

Recommended for both indoor or outdoor use. Not recommended for use in humid or seaside environments.
Do not leave under a cover ornon-breathing material such as a tarp. This will promote the deterioration of the finish. Store out in the open or in a drylocation with good air circulation.

To clean, use a gentle, naturally based all-purposecleaner and a smoothcloth or sponge. Gently dust beforehand to avoidscratches due to existing rough particles. It is safe occasionally apply a bit of pure mineral oilto give product a clear coat that will bothbrighten and provide a gentle seal of protection.

Almost perfect

This table is well-made and Food52 had it shipped to us quickly. It was just what we needed for a second small table to permit socially-distanced eating on our deck this summer. It is light, folds easily, and can be stored inside between uses. My only complaint is that from the picture I expected a real red and it is more of a rust red. (My preferred colors were not in stock, so this was already a compromise.) I didn’t need the chairs but I’m sure they would be equally satisfactory.
