A French country staple.

Wait till you hear the story behind this rare collection: It goes back to 1847, when Stanislas Renault first opened his workshop in Argent-sur-Sauldre, France. One move and 173 years later, the Poterie Renault business had stayed in the family for five generations, continuing to handcraft iconic stoneware from French clay (and even fire it all in the original kiln). Sadly, they’re closing their doors—but not before we were able to snap up a treasure trove of vintage pieces. We brought them here just for you, and they’re available exclusively at our Shop.

If a warm treat served up in one of these vintage bowls doesn’t charm you, we’re not sure what will. Each dish you see was handcrafted in the French countryside from local grey clay—no wonder they look so classic—then finished off with a salt glaze for a special luster. The small size is just the thing for snacks, desserts, even lattes, while the large is picture-perfect for your entrées and stews. Did we mention they’re all oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher friendly, not to mention aces at retaining heat and cold? Yep, that too.
