Food scraps wanted.
For no-fuss composting that’s eye-catching too, look no further than this countertop bin. It’s fashioned from powder-coated steel, with a carbon filter inside that’ll keep odors at bay. And thanks to its 2-quart size, it’s ready to corral food scraps of all kinds. The plastic insert makes this one a snap to empty for starting again (good thing, since we’ll be composting a whole lot more from now on).

In Gray: Looks High End, Cannister
You really wouldn't guess what this actually is, looks really like a nice metal cannister. This, in reality, is a great scraps holder for yr compost or other use. Ours goes into some compost or the wild animal scrap pile in woods behind us! This has a heavy duty plastic pail w/metal handle inside the outer good looking can. The pail has no holes so you don't have to worry about any juices/liquids leaking through. Easy to wash out. The snug fitting lid that fits over the outer cannister has air holes and is fitted on the inner side of lid w/foam filter. You get 2 of these and can be washed. A really nice item and I think I could also find other uses for it if needed! I use daily and now summer so it's really getting use, holds quite a bit..not stingy on space inside..
Does the job & looks nice on the counter for
The filter feature helps a lot with any odors. It holds a good amount too. It is so much better than the container I was using before.
Lovely and waaay too small
This is beautiful and will work well in a household of one person. Unless of course you are willing to trot your compost to the curb twice a day
