Ceramic mechanism can be used to grind most culinary spices and herbs. To clean between spices and herbs, it is recommended to grind some course salt. For a more thorough clean, unscrew and remove grey adjustable wheel, take out ceramic cone and clean in hot water. Dry and reassemble.
