Take 100% cotton fiber that’s normally considered waste, give it the Uashmama treatment, and what do you get? These very sturdy and sustainable placemats, of course. They’re made from leftover cotton that’s been transformed into a washable, leather-like material. And you bet they’re durable: Each one’s double-sided and highly resistant to stains—yes, even red wine and oil. They’re here in a whole medley of shapes and shades. When they’re done wowing at the table, wipe ‘em clean with a damp cloth, and they’re set to impress all over again.
