We can’t decide where to set this one-of-a-kind, handmade gem first. We could nestle it on the table, next to a vase of fresh flowers—or on the mantel, between a couple of gleaming candlesticks. On the other hand, we could let it double as a functional piece, such as a paperweight or bookend. Wherever it sits, one thing’s for sure: We’ll be gazing at that speckled clay for hours on end.
